Using vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition Without an AMP for vSpace Subscription
Introduction
Annual Maintenance Program (AMP) for vSpace Pro is a premium subscription service that ensures: full access to vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition, ongoing support for legacy NComputing devices, and enhanced technical support. It provides organizations with a complete suite of benefits—including software updates, advanced features, and access to support—to maintain the reliability, performance, and compatibility of their vSpace Pro deployments.
However,
if you're considering not subscribing to AMP, this article clarifies how it affects your usage of vSpace Pro Enterprise based on the device types you own.
Also, please see this article, which clearly outlines its trial mode behavior.
vSpace AMP Requirement Overview
vSpace AMP is only necessary if you are utilizing any native vSpace thin clients, such as the following NComputing thin client models:
- L250
- L300
- L350
- L400
- M300
- MX100
- RX300
- RX300+
- RX420(vSpace)
If your deployment includes these devices and you are not AMP compliant, then your vSpace Pro Enterprise server will be restricted to a one time, 7 day trial, allowing only 5 concurrent sessions across all connected clients—hardware or software.
- RX-RDP+, RX420(RDP), RX440(RDP)
- RX540, RX580
- LEAFOS (x86-64) including EX500 and EX500W
- vSpace Pro Software Client for Windows

Note that these clients still require an alternate vSpace Pro connection license of their own to operate beyond the default trial limitations. For more details, refer to these articles:
For vSpace Pro Software Client for Windows

Be aware that Device AMP is a separate product available and exclusive for the above mentioned thin clients.

Conclusion
You can use vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition without an AMP subscription, but only under certain conditions depending on the type of devices you are using. Always check your device type and licensing status to avoid unexpected limitations.
