Defining and Setting Up a Remote Access Session in VERDE

Product Line:   VERDE

This article provides a quick step-by-step Remote Access connection running in a current VERDE/VERDEOS environment.

Have the following at the ready:
  1. The IP Address of the Target PC/Laptop
  2. Know the Target PC's user and password you plan to use to access the Target.
  3. Have the Target PC up and accessible for the first testing.
  4. Ensure the Target PC is set up to allow RDP access.
Here are the steps:

From the Management Console/Configuration/Computer Resources, check to ensure that MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SESSIONS is greater than 1.  50 should be sufficient.

      

    From the Management Console, create a local user in Configuration/Administration/Users.  Do NOT select a ROLE. The user needs to be the same as the one in the list above (B.)

    2. Access Desktop Policy.  ADD RULE.  Enter the newly created userid, select Remote Access, Settings should be set to the Session for Remote Access, enter the Target PC's IP Address and a Description:

    5. With the VERDE-Client installed on your PC (NOT THE TARGET PC..the local pc) login as follows:


  3. Since this user (robin) only has one image/definition, it auto launches:
