How to schedule a reboot in PMC

How to schedule a reboot in PMC

Overview

PMC has the ability to do schedule reboots, which is a useful feature of the unattended restart of devices.
When devices are restarted periodically, it benefits them, as some resources will be cleared for better performance during production.

How to schedule a reboot.

1. In PMC go to Devices. (1) Then, in the right, bottom of the PMC window, find the DEVICES pane. Select the device or multiple thin-clients you want to set the reboot schedule for by clicking on the checkbox at the left of the serial numbers.
Look for the hyperlinks on the top of the pane. You will find the Reboot feature. (2)  Click on it.

2. Select the Schedule reboot... button. If here are any devices unavailable, you will be notified. You will still be able to set the schedule up.

3. You will be able to set the schedule for reboot, using choices offered in the menu.

4. Click Apply when you are ready.

This should leave the schedule set for your devices to reboot at the time and recurrence.

Alert
Note: Make sure that you have set the proper time zone in the PMC Appliance as scheduled events will execute using the Time zone of PMC Management Server.  You can set the proper time zone in your PMC appliance under Administration > System Settings.

Notes
On our PMC Start Guide, we have a section called Device Reboot and shutdown schedulers which covers further details.
