What are the VERDE Installation Methods?
Product Line: VERDE
VERDE provides two installation methods:
- Traditional installation (rpm and deb)
- Bare metal installation
The traditional VERDE installation installs on an existing or new
Linux installation. A bare metal installation installs a self-contained
version of VERDE on a server.
The bare metal installation is recommended for most installations,
and requires basic Linux management skills. All system packages are
included in the installation. After the base operating system is
installed, networking, storage, and server configuration are performed
through the VERDE menu.
If you need to install VERDE on an existing, supported Linux server,
please refer to the VERDE Configuration and Installation Guide for platform-specific
requirements and packages.
