Restrict the Number of CM candidates to Two in VERDE

ISSUE: 


When a VERDE environment is configured with more than two Cluster Master (CM) candidates, you could potentially receive the following message when the first CM fails over:

ERROR: THERE IS NO ACTIVE CLUSTER MASTER IN THE SYSTEM. PLEASE CONTACT THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

This is due to the possibility that the other remaining CM candidates are trying to become the next CM, but due to a known bug, effectively cancel the other CM candidates out and this power struggle creates an environment with no CM.

 

 

SOLUTION: 


Configure only two CM candidates in the VERDE environment so that when a CM fails over, there is only one CM candidate and no power struggle will ensue.
