NoTouch Center Appliance Install on a HyperV VM

This article is for anyone wanting to install the NComputing NoTouch Center Appliance specifically on Microsoft HyperV 2016

Currently there are not screen shots but I will make sure and be descriptive and will reference relevant links mentioned.

            1. Download the .OVA file to the desktop of the HyperV Manager system.
            2. Since the .OVA is a compressed file, you will need to extract it using a software tool like 7Zzip.
            3. Extract the .OVA to the desktop so it is easily found.  This will create 3 new files on your desktop.
            • STEP 2 Convert the appropriate extracted file into the usable HyperV format. For this example I used a free copy of Starwind V2V   Below are my notes for this conversion.
            1. Launch the V2V software, Local File, NEXT, Browse to extracted file type .VDMK on your desktop from the .OVA   should be 560,767KB
            2. OPEN, NEXT, Destination Image Format = Microsoft VHD pre-allocated image, NEXT,
            3. Local file, NEXT, NEXT, 13 minute processing time (aprox.) , FINISH.
            4. Final file should now have an icon that looks like a drive.
            1. Open the HyperV manager, New, Virtual Machine, Use the Wizard for next steps.
            2. Rename the new VM per your preference, GEN 1, 2 GB RAM, Network, Connection = Virtual Switch
            3. Use existing Virtual Hard Disk, Browse to just created Virtual appliance drive, OPEN, Double check summary, FINISH
            • STEP 4 Starting up the new Appliance
            1. Select the new VM appliance and right click, Start,
            2. Set new admin password,  For this example: "Password1" , No mouse ability, keyboard functions only. Press Enter, Re-enter password, "Password1"

            1. Open your browser, Chrome in this case. , Type in the IP address in the address field, Enter
            2. Login, Warning Connection is not private,, advanced, Proceed to appliance, Authentication required, "admin" , "Password1"
