How to Reset the mcadmin Password

Product Line:  VERDE

ISSUE: 

The mcadmin(1) password has been forgotten or overwritten prohibiting access to the VERDE  Management Console.

 

SOLUTION: 

Please perform the following....

  • Copy the attached script "reset-password-zilker.pl" to the cluster master (any directory) and run as root.
  • # perl ./reset-password-zilker.pl
  • This will re-set the password for the first admin account in the database (this is typically mcadmin1 or mcadmin)
  • The password will be set to "Change!Me". You can change this later through the MC.
