Citrix receiver Protocol error 1046


If you are running the Citrix receiver in a vSpace session and are getting the Virtual Driver error, use the registry keys below to set time values until success, 20 should work.

 

The error is caused due to the the fact that the session will time out before the encryption string is set up.

 

The Virtual Driver is not Loaded

 

Ø  If receiving the Citrix Error: (Error 1046: The Virtual Driver is not Loaded)

·     AND, when connecting from the local workstation or through Remote Desktop, there is no error message and the connection is successful.

  

If the above is true, please take the following action, add the below registry key using regedit to allow the timer for the protocol connection to establish correctly.

 This may require a system reboot to apply.

Always remember to be careful, serious system harm can be done to your Windows Operating System with the regedit tool if improperly used.


On 64-bit Windows:
 Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432node\Citrix\ICA Client
 Name: VdLoadUnLoadTimeOut
 Type: REG_DWORD
 Data: Any value in seconds


If added as Decimal, the Data is 0x00000014 (20)

If added as Hexadecimal, the Data is 0x00000020  (32)
