Best Practices for Installing vSpace with other Active Microsoft Server Roles.
This article is to address commonly seen symptoms when installing vSpace on a Server OS with already existing Active Server roles.
It is recommended as a best practice to achieve best performance and management, when deploying a high resource Role like RDS and session delivery software like vSpace Server, to have this Server be a Dedicated, Windows Session Delivery server in your network environment.
There have been multiple reports of corruption and errors ranging from minor to serious and even unrecoverable when the role's services or resource allocation potentially conflict with each other.
The NComputing product deployment guides and videos are provided with the assumption the customer is using a stand alone, Licensed, Microsoft Operating System for the purpose of session delivery.
It is NOT recommended to have more than just the RDS role active on a designated vSpace Server host.
Multiple server roles on the same Windows OS as the vSpace Server Software is not a supported configuration.
