Workspace Hub connection configuration on RX-HDX and RX420(420) device

NOTE:

1. Android device and RX-HDX device must be in same network for Citrix Casting to work.

Network Security:

• Ports 55555, 1494, 8500 ports must not be blocked by network firewall between WSH and Android device.
  
• Port 55556 must not be blocked if SSL is enabled
  
• In Roam mode, please make sure workspace hub can access VDA.
  

RX-HDX/RX420(420) device side configuration:

1. Go to device configuration.
   
2. Navigate to Management – Connections.
   
3. Click on ‘Add; button and then click on ‘Edit’ button.
   
4. Configure ‘Connection mode’ to ‘Citrix Workspace Hub’ from the dropdown.
   
5. Save settings.
   

6. Launch created Citrix Workspace connection.
   

Android phone side configuration:

1. Download ‘Workspace’ application from the play store. (Latest Workspace App for Android has some issues, so please use an version 19.09.0.0 (1909) by downloading it from Citrix Website or from the below URL: https://ncomputing-my.sharepoint.com/:u:/p/qasherpas/Ea_kxFmVqWhHgeI6BkEzxfoBjiQod-w65m_vCXZflV7kVQ?e=eVKqK9
2. Launch Workspace application.
   

3. Enter Store URL and click on Continue.
   
4. Enter valid Username, Password and Domain name.
   

There are three ways to cast Citrix session to RX-HDX/RX420(HDX) device from the android phone:

1. Cast Citrix session using scanning QRCode without launching connection on android phone.
   

• Go to Settings – Citrix Casting.
  
• Enable checkbox for ‘Use Citrix Casting’
  
• Go to Configuration.
  
• Turn on ‘Proximity Authentication’
  
• Set ‘Preferred Resource’ from the dropdown. (It is the App/Desktop which will directly launch on scanning QRCode)
  
• Click on tap on cast button.
  
• Scan QRCode appears on RX-HDX/RX420(HDX)
  

2. Cast Citrix session using scanning QRCode from the session launched on android phone.
   

• Go to Settings – Citrix Casting.
  
• Enable checkbox for ‘Use Citrix Casting’
  

• Launch Citrix session on android mobile phone.
  
• Click on the down arrow appears on the top side of the screen.
  
• Click on TV icon.
  
• Scan QRCode appears on RX-HDX/RX420(HDX)
  

3. Cast Citrix session using proximity method.
   

1. Bluetooth must be enabled on android device as well as RX-HDX/RX420(HDX) device (By default Bluetooth is enabled in RX-HDX/RX420(HDX) Devices.)

• Go to Settings – Citrix Casting.
  
• Enable checkbox for ‘Use Citrix Casting’
  
• Go to Configuration.
  
• Turn on ‘Proximity Authentication’
  
• Set ‘Preferred Resource’ from the dropdown. (It is the App/Desktop which will directly launch android phone placed near RX-HDX/RX420(HDX) device.
  
• Place android phone near RX-HDX/RX420(HDX)
