VERDE/VERDEOS HandHeld Devices Specific to Release 8.2/Build 14199

VERDE/VERDEOS HandHeld Devices Specific to Release 8.2/Build 14199

Product Line:  VERDE

The only way to login to the latest Verde version (Build 14199) from a Mobile device is that it currently has to be:  Android devices

This also requires the Commercially available Mobile app “aFreeRDP” is downloaded from the Google Play store and then they would need our Mobile app that was developed by our Team.

This is a simplified “mobile version” of the Verde client.  It is actually a front-end to “aFreeRDP” app and re-formats the input fields (passed data to the ‘aFreeRDP’ app) to allow access to Tenants from Android devices and uses the same login format as the Verde client:  Verde Server IP/tenant-name.  Here's the VERDE mobile app:

An iOS version (for iPhones / iPads) is being worked on at this time.

***TAKE NOTE***  From an Android you can access the Verde Windows VM using an HTML5 browser (mobile versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).  And from an iPhone/iPad, you can use the Dolphin browser from the App Store.

When entering the ‘Username’ field from the mobile Google Chrome browser, it always forces ‘CAPS’ on the first letter of the Username.

In my case, I was testing a Verde Local user:   jeff

But when I am prompted via the /uc5 page to enter my Username, Google Chrome makes the first letter ‘upper-case’ and my Login fails.

So I have to ‘down shift’ the CAPS on the first letter and then I am able to enter:  jeff     And my login is success.

This issue doesn’t happen on the Password field.  Only the Username field.

Just wanted you to know that.  This may also be true of Mozilla Firefox and maybe the Dolphin browser in iOS devices.

***NOTICE***  To access with a Tenant User from a Mobile device, the Host Server field uses the same format for a Tenant login as the Verde client:   IP/DNS/tenant-name

Customer Experience:

I just tested the Dolphin browser (downloaded from Google Play Store) and installed on my Android phone and it works great.  It even has a ‘full screen’ mode, by flicking the desktop ‘up’.  You can also use the 2-finger gesture to zoom the screen and with ‘full screen’, it makes it easier to navigate the Windows 10 desktop on my small Android screen.

I am guessing that the functionality would be the same with iOS devices using Dolphin browser.
