For vSpace Pro 11.3 LTS, vSpace Pro software client can be used without any AMP compliance requirements.
The AMP calculation will only include NComputing hardware thin clients and not vSpace Pro software clients in the customer’s Management Portal account. However, even if you are not using any thin client devices you still must purchase at least one AMP license to achieve compliancy for vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition.
Please refer below for a few scenarios of the vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition policy.
(Scenario 1): The customer does not have any NComputing thin clients connected to their Management Portal. They only plan to use vSpace Pro software client to connect to vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition.
In this example, the customer is required to purchase 1 AMP license (1 seat) to become AMP compliant in their Management Portal account, to provide full access to vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition without any trial restrictions.
If the customer is not AMP compliant, then the customer will be limited to a maximum of 5 trial-mode concurrent sessions in vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition, regardless of NComputing hardware thin clients or vSpace Pro software client connections.
(Scenario 2): The customer has a mixture of NComputing hardware thin clients and vSpace Pro software clients connecting to vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition.
In this example, the customer is required to purchase AMP licenses based on the total number of NComputing hardware thin clients used in their Management Portal account, to provide full access to vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition without any trial restrictions. The vSpace Pro Software client connections are not considered in the AMP calculation logic.
If the customer is not AMP compliant, then the customer will be limited to a maximum of 5 trial-mode concurrent sessions in vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition, regardless of NComputing hardware thin clients or vSpace Pro software client connections.
