PREVIOUS RX420(RDP), RX440(RDP) AND RX-RDP+ FIRMWARE VERSION 5.12.4 RELEASE NOTES
New features introduced in firmware version 5.12.4:
AVD client options to control H.264 support and hardware acceleration for H.264 (enabled by default).
Support for the enhanced ‘UXP Turbo’ protocol with the advanced H.264 codec in vSpace sessions (requires vSpace Pro Enterprise version 12.9.1 or higher), delivering improved compression, reduced bandwidth usage, and lower latency, making it ideal for:
vSpace Server access over WAN or VPN
Applications requiring low network latency, such as CAD systems which need to render and animate 3D objects.
The UXP Turbo with the H.264 support in vSpace brings next-generation performance for vSpace Pro Enterprise servers running on Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, or Windows Server 2025.
New improvements introduced in firmware version 5.12.4:
First-time setup wizard.
Updated VERDE VDI client with Secure Browser support.
Ability to preconfigure Wi-Fi connection using the wifi-config.txt file stored on a locally connected USB drive during the initial boot.
Enhanced the USB mass storage peripheral policy to enable or disable access to local USB storage devices.
When kiosk mode is configured, continuing the auto-connect loop when encountering RDP connection errors (e.g. host machine not yet ready while powering up).
Ability to bypass the HTTP proxy when establishing management connection to PMC Endpoint Manager (e.g., when deployed on-prem), while using the configured HTTP proxy for other network connections (e.g., for terminal connections through the Internet).
Support for additional mouse buttons (e.g., the side buttons) in AVD client.
New options in vSpace Pro device connection settings to enable/disable ‘UXP Turbo protocol’ and ‘H.264 decoding’ capabilities.
These options provide the flexibility of being able to globally enable the H.264 encoding in vSpace Server (requiring higher CPU/GPU load), but disable the H.264 support on selected clients when not required.
Enhanced vCAST components for improved compatibility and optimized performance with full HD video content in vSpace and RDP sessions.
Improved video and audio synchronization of vCAST-ed content in vSpace and RDP sessions.
Update device system time after login to Enterprise 802.1x network.
Support for uploading certificates from a locally connected USB memory stick.
Secure Shell support with custom password.
Improved Wi-Fi reconfiguration handling for devices configured with autologin.
Improved handling of Enterprise 802.1x during the boot-up process.
Improved the syntax handling of the .ovpn file used by OpenVPN to ensure routing table is cleaned up upon VPN disconnection.
Added Device AMP (software maintenance) status icon.

PREVIOUS RX420(RDP), RX440(RDP) AND RX-RDP+ FIRMWARE VERSION 4.11.2 RELEASE NOTES
The following are new features introduced in RX420(RDP) and RX440(RDP) version 4.11.2:
Local printing support for local Chromium browser in RX420(RDP) and RX440(RDP).
For each defined local printer, an additional instance of the same printer gets created with the '_local' suffix appended to the name. For this additional printer, based on the specified Windows Printer Driver Name, RX420(RDP)/RX440(RDP) tries to find a suitable Linux printer driver. With that, the local Chromium web browser should be able to print. In Chromium, using the ‘See more…’ options in Printing dialog may be necessary to find the additional local printer:
In the example above, the 'HPDJ_5520' printer was defined in the device configuration. This caused the creation of two Linux printers: HPDJ_5520 (driverless, to be used in AVD, and RDP sessions only) and HPDJ_5520_local (with Linux driver configured, to be used in Chromium browser).
Added the ability to change the local Chromium browser locale via custom parameters.
To access the local Chromium custom parameters:
Open the Setup UI and go to Local Applications section.
Select the Chromium Browser tab and enter the corresponding system locale parameter as the custom parameter. We have provided some custom parameter examples below for different languages:
--locale=de_DE.UTF-8 for German --locale=fr_FR.UTF-8 for French --locale=ko_KR.UTF-8 for Korean --locale=zh_CN.UTF-8 for Chinese (Simplified) --locale=zh_TW.UTF-8 for Chinese (Traditional) --locale=es_ES.UTF-8 for Spanish --locale=pt_PT.UTF-8 for Portuguese --locale=ja_JP.UTF-8 for Japanese
The following are new improvements introduced in RX420(RDP), RX440(RDP) and RX-RDP+ version 4.11.2:
New RX440(RDP) client ID support for vSpace Pro Enterprise connection. Note: RX440(RDP) requires vSpace Pro Enterprise software version 12.7.4 (or higher) to work properly. Please refer to the additional notes below.
Added single touch and multi-touch support for the primary display when in dual display mode.
Added the [Scan WiFi] button to refresh locally available Wi-Fi connections under Setup UI > Network > WiFi tab.
Updated vCAST Streaming software components for vSpace and RDS connections.
Reorganized Network settings with tabs for Ethernet, WiFi, DNS, Proxy, VPN, and Tests.
Updated UDS Enterprise Client to version 3.6.0.
