Product Line: VERDE
Both VERDE(rpm) and VERDEOS can be updated using the same method.
VERDE(rpm) and VERDEOS:
- Download the VERDE(rpm)
- Ensure all VERDE sessions are shutdown
- Ensure there are no gold images checked out
- Stop the VERDE services on all servers except the Cluster Master server (service VERDE stop )
- When the other servers' services have stopped, stop the VERDE services on the Cluster Master
- Ensure there are no previous rpm's in the /root directory
- Copy/Move the new, downloaded rpm's to the /root directory
- Run the following command:
- rpm -Uvh --nodeps --force VERDE*.rpm
- If you want, reboot the system, but you shouldn't have to.
- When it's complete, the server is upgraded
- Do the same copying the rpm's to /root and running rpm -Uvh --nodeps --force VERDE*.rpm on each remaining server
- Log into the Management Console.
- Check out one gold image at a time
- Access the gold image via the mcadmin1 userid (this allows the guest to upgrade)
- Shutdown the gold image
- Check it in.
- Do the same for all the gold images.
Your VERDE(rpm) or VREDEOS system is upgraded
