Do RX300, RX-RDP, RX-RDP+ and RX420(RDP) thin clients support webcams for video conferencing?

Yes.

RX300, RX-RDP, RX-RDP+ and RX420(RDP) thin clients all provide native webcams support in various virtualization connection modes.
Native webcams support have been tested in popular conferencing applications including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, GoToMeeting and Skype.

To setup webcam for video conferencing, we recommend the following setup:

(1) Make sure you are using the following minimal software and firmware versions which support the native webcams:
  1. RX300 (version 3.10.3 or higher)
  2. RX-RDP (version 3.4.4 or higher)
  3. RX-RDP+ and RX420(RDP) (version 1.10.10 or higher)
  4. If the device is connecting to vSpace, make sure vSpace Pro Enterprise Edition (version 12.4.0 or higher) is installed on the host.
  5. If the device is connecting to RDP session, only Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 hosts support native webcams
  6. If the device is connecting to RDP session, we recommend to enable RemoteFX(RDP8) or RDP10 on the device for best webcam user experience. Please refer to the summary table at the end of this article. 
(2) Connect USB webcam (for video) and USB headset with mic input (for audio) to the supported thin clients.

(3) Make sure the 'Video and Imaging devices' has the 'native' redirection setting (which is the default setting):



(4) When using Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10 as host, each user, under Privacy settings, needs to allow the applications to access the redirected camera.
