Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) After Upgrade of Windows 10, Or Generally BSOD with Windows 10

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) After Upgrade of Windows 10, Or Generally BSOD with Windows 10

Product Line:  VERDE

ISSUE:

With the release of VERDE 8.2.7, it has become apparent that Windows 10 can be built with only 2 GB of RAM, but, it can result in performance issues.  It can especially cause BSOD if there are numerous applications installed and/or the image is upgraded from previous releases of VERDE.

It's becoming more important and necessary to build and use your images with at least 4 GB of RAM.  This will eliminate the BSOD errors occasionally received.

Recommended Minimum RAM for Windows 10 Guest OS

We recommend a minimum of 4GB of RAM be selected when using Windows 10 Guest OS. It is technically possible to launch a Windows 10 Guest session with 2GB of RAM. However, problems have been observed during certain events including Windows 10 OS updates from Microsoft and VERDE Guest Tool updates during upgrade migration from previous versions of VERDE.
